The Biomedical Engineering Research Group (GIIB) was created by a group of UPS professors whose area of research is Biomedical Engineering. The intention is to develop applied research that will propose solutions to the problems of Ecuadorian and international society, within the framework of biomedical engineering. As the first research group in the area of bioengineering in Ecuador, it is committed to motivating the birth of similar initiatives in the country with this experience.
