Abstract

The proper performance of medical technology equipment, present in all areas of healthcare, requires strict quality control along with a relevant maintenance program. This study introduces a methodology for creating a comprehensive medical equipment evaluation plan. The plan encompasses equipment selection, component recognition, specification of measurement parameters, and performance assessment. It is underpinned by a systematic testing and data collection approach to evaluate equipment functionality and performance effectively. Implementing this approach enables laboratory staff to efficiently assess equipment performance and reliability, ensuring consistency and well-informed decision-making. The gathered data aids in pinpointing areas for enhancement, optimizing equipment utilization, and improving overall laboratory operations.
