Resumen
The passage of time and globalization cause a strong emotional disconnection between the public and cultural heritage assets, which leads to their ignorance, little appreciation, and danger of destruction. To contribute to the solution of this problem that especially affects the young public that is the object of this study, a video game has been developed, with the aim of facilitating the emotional connection with the identity of the Andean ancestral cultures, taking advantage of serious games and gamification, are effective resources for learning in different areas of knowledge, including heritage. The video game consists of a virtual tour of the archaeological site of Ingapirca, located in the province of Cañar in southern Ecuador. As a methodology for its development, the User eXperience Design UXD is taken, a three-step process that occurs sequentially and iteratively and that allows the creation of video games with the player experience as the main axis.
