Resumen

The following article performs an energy efficiency analysis in the traction and braking electric vehicle systems which delivers a maximum torque of 285 Nm, with a 90 kW battery, and 145 km/h as maximum speed, being the main objective to find the optimal vehicle performance points at the driving moment. In order to achieve the objective, “EMOLAB” acquisition software is used, and this one is linked to the vehicle’s OBDII port via Bluetooth from which the obtained data were torque, angular speed, acceleration, current and an inclinometer to determine slopes. These were obtained through on board route tests to three different destinations in the city of Cuenca-Ecuador: Tres Cruces (4147 m.a.s.l), Nulti (2577 m.a,s.l) and Historic Center (2549 m.a.s.l,), the starting point being the Salesian Polytechnic University (2550 m.a.s.l). Data were used for efficiency calculations, input and output power, so in this way generate maps to find points where the vehicle wastes considerably the delivered energy by its battery to recommend driving strategies where this energy is used to increase the efficiency and vehicle autonomy.
