Abstract
The education system is emerging as an essential element for the development of individuals and societies. By adapting to the new realities, the current teaching-learning process is not marked in the teacher-student context, but has evolved to a global and shared perspective. In the contemporary context, the new role of the teacher and educational entities is to build knowledge in alliance with the student and to seek conditions for it to be disseminated and not only transmitted in an individualized way. Under different names -media education, media literacy, educommunication-, the aim is for educational activity to contribute to the necessary training to establish a perspective of autonomous and conscious sociocultural interaction in this new environment. The student also begins to be the protagonist of this new configuration, so that the technological era needs a reformulated educational system aimed at these new students and in line with the global technological reality. In this context, educommunication is a technique, tool or new teaching and learning process based on communication. It is a new framework or instrument for the development of knowledge in a harmonious and shared manner.
