The Game Lab Research Group of the Salesiana Polytechnic University (GIGL - UPS) has established the first game laboratory in Ecuador oriented to the analysis and production of games. The main lines of research are video game ethics, digital playful experiences, typologies of players, literacy through video games, virtual reality, augmented reality and gamification.

This experimental space has an interdisciplinary and collaborative vision demonstrated by its group of teachers, researchers and students who work together with members of other international institutions. The research carried out in this specialized environment is translated into reports, scientific articles, conferences, workshops and seminars related to games.
