Abstract
The Initial Education Curriculum of Ecuador (MINEDUC, 2014) defines children from 0 to 5 years old as bio-psycho-social and cultural beings, unique and unrepeatable, central actors in the teaching-learning process. Considered as subjects and not objects, their learning is based on the needs and potential they have, taking into account diversity and inclusion in all its manifestations. This can be defined as a work methodology that children carry out in accordance with their interests: play. This recreational activity, converted into a pedagogical tool, accompanied by learning environments, corners and exposed recreational material, which respects the freedom of choice and peers. Faced with these circumstantial approaches of respect for the infant and his learning process with others and the environment, it is essential to use strategies that allow the child to be an active part of the apprehension of this knowledge, with methodologies that motivate exploration, satisfy the curiosity, promote the processes of analysis and synthesis, which are the result of infants' observation of the surrounding world, accompanied by the full enjoyment of these actions.
