Abstract
Chapter IX, Philosophical, scientific and educational innovations from the 17th century to the first two decades of the 21st century, by Floralba del Rocío Aguilar Gordón, intends to be a continuation of the reflections presented in the first chapter of Volume I, in whose pages she addressed the historical process of the philosophy of innovation and innovation in philosophy, where she identified the main milestones from its origins in antiquity to the 16th century in the Renaissance. On this occasion, the author analyzes the processes of innovation that have been generated in philosophy, science and education from the 17th century to the first two decades of the 21st century, in this sense, the main contributions made by the thinkers of the historical stages referred to are considered. We start from the criterion that innovation is not subordinated to technical, technological and scientific progress, but goes beyond pure technicism and scientism, it is considered that innovation has the human being as a starting point and point of arrival, since he is the creator and the main protagonist of all those products, it is he who thinks, builds and redirects everything that is proposed to respond to the requirements of his context, for the adaptation, survival and satisfaction of his mediate and immediate needs.
