The essay presents an analysis of the foundation of the education in the history of the humanity, establishes in a brief way the general characteristics of the education in the time, there determines the model (ideal educational, role of the teacher, role of the student) commandingly in every stage to understand the dynamism of the ideal educational one and the typical features that form the Ecuadorian education of the present; he thinks brings over of the principal transformations, limitations or critical knots and challenges of the top Ecuadorian education of last times. This essay argues the importance of understanding that to speak about education is to turn the look to the human being as the principal modal of their own insight into to understand the diverse sociocultural manifestations. It makes clear that any educational orientation has as foundation to the philosophical doctrines for what it proposes to rethink the behavior of the education in the light of the laws of the philosophy and of the cultural development of the society. In the methodological field, it is a question of a qualitative study, sustained philosophically in the phenomenological-hermeneutic method. This test opens ways for later investigations and for the generation of new educational offers in context.
