Abstract
The behaviorist model is reflected in education as one more model for the teaching and learning process, which focuses on the analysis of behaviors that can be observed and measured. The objective is to identify the application that teachers make during the school day and the different ways of evaluating according to the behaviorist current. The methodology of the case study was qualitative, it allowed observing and interacting with the classesthat the teacher taught applying this current to the students. For this purpose, were used participant observation techniques, texts related to the subject and structured interviews carried out with the teacher and the educational psychologist of the institution. The instruments used were the field diary, summary sheets and questionnaires. As a result, the behaviorist current was applied to the students to modify the initial behavior, without totally eliminating the unwanted behavior, they applied both positive and negative reinforcers that somehow became useful to the teacher as motivation to finish school activities. However, the behavior is not completely eliminated because it returns to the initial behavior and is modified in the moment. It is concluded that the behaviorist model is applied through reinforcers who try to eliminate unwanted behavior in order to finish school activities with rewards or punishments, forming passive and repressed students.
