Abstract

Since some time now, the lifestyle and thinking of Ecuadorians have been influenced by the environment created by the Ecuadorian government through information campaigns to raise awareness for changes in eating habits, one of the strategies used to achieve this objective It was the implementation of the nutritional traffic light, which allows the observation summarizes the level of critical components in the packaging of processed food products. Some companies saw this as a threat to their sales levels due to high levels of critical components in their products, while other companies supported in the foundation of marketing reformulated their products and adapt their advertising campaigns to use this product reformulation as a differential competitive advantage, they understood that in order to influence the purchase decision process must develop products that meet the basic needs of new customers adding nutrition and health attributes.
