Abstract

This text analyzes the data presented in the university document UPS in Figures, an annual publication produced by the Technical Secretariat of Statistics that provides objective and updated information on the different areas of the university's academic and administrative activities. It also provides knowledge about the UPS made available to those who yearn for change and innovation. This research, whose motivation comes from the institutional life and sensitivity of these professors, is a strategic tool for university management and encourages us to continue to deepen and analyze this wide range of indicators that the UPS has been publishing uninterruptedly for six years. "Giving meaning or meaning and explaining, helps to understand and know why we do what we do, facilitates the integration of institutional thinking with its action", this is the purpose of the authors, who leave the reader free of closed conclusions, to continue, on their own initiative, finding different, contrary or complementary answers from the same data, worked with the same intentionality of organizing the university where one learns to learn in freedom in a process that innovates and creates knowledge. The seven articles collected in Analysis of the UPS in Figures involve the university community as author and user, it is a participatory opportunity to analyze, reflect and guide internal processes.
