The fundamental proposal of the members of the University and Common Good Research Group (GIUB) is to rethink the University and its impact on the social sphere, analyzing the particular case of the UPS in the Ecuadorian context, as a common good in light of the contributions made by Elionor Ostrom (2009), which proposes the governance of common goods in collective action institutions. The vision of the author, feeds the academic conceptual notion so that, promotes development trajectories and intercultural education in Andean and Amazonian communities, with management and organizational structures derived from university autonomy.
