Abstract

The purpose and development of the chosen topic was based in the educational field in order to get truthful information about how it is student’s education with special necessities in daily activities around Ecuador. During the investigation, we were looking for knowing how an educational institution organize its information, required by legal procedures about students with special necessities and to understand how a teacher give attention to the teaching-learning process of a kid under low IQ diagnostic and with another teacher who does not have any students with special education. This work was focus on the daily work of a teacher to show that current curricular adaptations do not generate meaningful learnings in a low IQ student, because the adaptation for this kind of student were applied for other students with different special necessities. Methodology used was qualitative because of its holistic and inductive nature, this methodology helped to understand the phenomenon from the inside of the problem. Results obtained demonstrate that the work done in the classroom with low IQ students is not being meaningful due to the disinterest of the authorities and because these particular students are seen as a burden or a problem for teachers.
