Resumen

In today's digital era, communication and data transmission networks have experienced exponential growth in terms of capacity and efficiency. Access to information and connectivity are critical to society and business, making the demand for high-speed, high-performance networks increasingly critical. That is why the fundamental objective of this research is focused on studying the performance of data transmission in a 100Gb/s DSP-Assisted PON network. Due to the nature of the object of study, the type of research will be exploratory. Since the general objective is to study the performance of data transmission in a 100Gb/s DSP-Assisted PON network, the exploratory research will allow researchers to understand the behavior and characteristics of the network in different conditions and configurations. Likewise, due to the focus of the project, the type of research will be quantitative, since it focuses on measuring and analyzing bit error rate, received power and DSP filter efficiency.
