Abstract

The performance and efficiency of solar panels are intricately linked to a critical parameter known as cell temperature. In the scope of this research endeavor, we investigate the augmentation of photovoltaic solar panel performance through the integration of a cell cooling system. This project employs a pair of RG-P30W solar panels for the purposes of comparative analysis. The initial panel, designated as 'A,' functions in its native state, devoid of any modifications or adaptations. Conversely, the second panel, labeled 'B,' is equipped with an active cooling mechanism, utilizing a water circulation-based radiator. The experimental trials were conducted at the Municipality of Gualaquiza in Ecuador, situated at geographical coordinates 3° 24′ 19″ S 78° 34′ 30″ W. The recorded measurements provide valuable insights into the performance variation of photovoltaic solar panel 'B.' Notably, under equivalent irradiance and latitude conditions as panel 'A,' panel 'B' exhibited enhanced voltage characteristics, highlighting its improved operational efficiency.
