Abstract
The central purpose of this article is to analyze the contribution of Salesian higher education to the development of indigenous peoples. To this end, attention is focused on the experience of one of the academic programs of the UPS with the greatest trajectory and impact: the Cotopaxi Academic Program (PAC), a bilingual intercultural teacher training program that currently has a total of 254 graduates who are working in different areas related to education (schools and colleges, government agencies, national and international NGOs, etc.) and in various provinces of the country.
