THD Minimizationin Electrical Distribution Networks Through Vector Space Control Implementation in Power Inverters

Abstract

Power Energy quality is determined by providing users with a service that is effective and meets their expectations. This calls for optimizing the core operations of an electrical power system, such as generation, transmission, and distribution. Energy is essential for the efficient operation of a nation's productive matrix as well as the performance of essential functions in our homes. This document's objective is the analysis and implementation of vector space control in photovoltaic distributed generation inverters on an IEEE 34-bar system with the goal of minimizing total harmonic distortion (THD), which is typically produced by everyday electronic devices connected to the electrical system. This document's premise is to improve the quality of the distribution network. A complete bridge inverter attached to the system's bus-bar number 25 is modulated using the control of six fundamental vectors. Since both modulation strategies in the integrated DG in THPWM and SVPWM improve the stability characteristics of the suggested distribution network, it is concluded that the results obtained are consistent with predictions.
