Abstract
Today, the human development of individuals is embedded in a multi-platform digital ecosystem accessed through ICTs, in particular through mobile devices. The development of young people is also realised through the process of virtualisation of their lives, especially in contexts that favour interaction and participation such as social networks. Their communication assumes innovative forms and models, but also replicates the diffusive logic of mainstream and traditional media, generating contrasts between the different ways of interacting with people, media and information, and the new forms of participation and association in the network.
