Abstract

One of the programming standards is the object-oriented programming paradigm that models real-world situations in the form of objects with characteristics and functionalities. The success of this paradigm consists in the acceptance of languages, both in design and in the support for its implementation. In this book, object-oriented programming is approached by amalgamating two critical sections. On the one hand, the Unified Modeling Language (UML) is used to describe objects. On the other hand, the programming language Java is presented for implementing the models shown. The different theoretical conceptions are treated practically using solved exercises and object models that allow the reader to grow in his knowledge in a structured way since, starting from general concepts of algorithms, it is possible to treat abstract notions of the properties inherent to the objects. Finally, and no less important, is that this book was conceived as a practical guide so that people interested in programming can clearly determine the fundamental principles and access the basic knowledge about object-oriented programming.
