Abstract

The study presented in this article demonstrates the possibility of obtaining three-dimensional images of the propagation of complex acoustic waves using an optical feedback interferometer that has the advantages of being compact, low cost and very easy to implement. The measurement methodology based on the principle of tomography is explicit, as is the signal processing necessary for the reconstruction of an image. The experimental implementation is detailed and visualizations of interference between acoustic waves using this imaging method are presented for the first time.
