Abstract

This study begins with a description of the metal-mechanic industry and indicates the location of the main industries in Ecuador: Pichincha, Tungurahua, Azuay, Guayas and Loja, with an estimated annual production of 900,000 to 13,000,000 tons. Products such as metal roofing, pipes, profiles, rolled structures, construction materials and white goods stand out (Pro Ecuador, 2015).
