Abstract
In this article determines the electric energy savings to be achieved by the implementation of the national program of energy-efficient refrigeration equipment home in Colombia. The evaluation is done using a model developed with System Dynamics that considers the size and conformation of the economic structure, population distribution and, above all, climatic aspects that determine a significant difference in the electrical consumption of a refrigerator in accordance with the climaticconditions of each of the thermal floors it is currently running. In addition, with the model is then used to simulate three different scenarios to view the consequences of the different interventions that may occur. The results for the current scenario presents a peak of more than 2 million refrigerators in 2023, reaching a value of more than 1 million in the last year of the period of analysis, with a consumption of electrical energy by use of refrigerators of, approximately, 21.5 TWh/year by 2030, representing a savings of electric power in proportion to the increase of new efficient refrigerators of up to 36.33 % in 2025. If the plan is successful, it could reach values of savings of up to 51.63 % for 2030.
