Abstract

In this chapter we talk about the relation between live-streaming culture and the broadcasting of Esports events. For this we work on the hypothesis that “The live-streaming culture has directly influenced the broadcasting of Esports events. Recognizing that there is an inherent connection between both”. The first phase of the study seeks to detail the importance of this relation by analyzing the characteristics of this phenomenon in new generations, based on the correct definition of “Esports”: The second phase responds to a review of the valoration of these channels for broadcasting live-streaming Esports, according to a survey applied to gamers from eight countries.
