Abstract

The indigenous languages of Ecuador have a long colonial history and republican of subordination in relation to Castilian. Allthey, today, are threatened and in danger of disappearing as languages of daily communication, which means the serious risk oflosing an important cultural and epistemic richness. One of the mechanisms of preservation and development of languages is the dissemination of the same through teaching to those who do not they own them. In this sense, Ecuador has a long traditionof teaching Quichua from university contexts, from the decade of the 70s of the last century.
