Abstract
An interstice is a "slit or space that mediates between twobodies" or also in the interval between two times, placesor moments. Evidencing those other spaces, moments andcapacities that communication has beyond its ownframework and its own limitations, is the objective of thispublication. In it, social narratives are addressed from theanalysis of different stories and their construction ofmeanings, as well as the types of formats and platformsthat are used in journalistic and communicative work. Thedigital scenarios expressed in virtualization, immediacy,big data, algorithms, platform capitalism, videosurveillance, social networks, are part of the analysisabout the role they play in contemporary times. It alsoanalyzes those emerging contexts that examine therelationship between communication and journalism withother disciplines, scenarios, actors or sensibilities.
