Abstract

In the present study, the factors influencing the entrepreneurial intention in university students are determined through a cross-sectional, non-experimental design, with a quantitative approach, using the deductive method. The study is descriptive and correlational. 65 students participated in the educational projects of the subject of Strategic Marketing of the career Business Administration of the University Laica Vicente Rocafuerte of Guayaquil. It was found a relationship between the external factor university formation and the entrepreneurial intention, but also influence internal factors such as personal traits, among which social, leadership, being visionary, among others. Universities play a transcendent role in promoting entrepreneurship because in them it can contribute significantly to the promotion of the same expanding the vision of the future of the students through their training; giving them tools and knowledge that are useful in the practice of entrepreneurship.
