Abstract
In this article we intend to talk about how mental health influences resident doctors, through what has been investigated in reports and academic articles, which allow the identification of the main risk factors that affect their health. We have analyzed the investigations of several authors on the incidence of social responsibility in the health of resident doctors and the most relevant were: Jiménez and Arenas (2017) who says that resident doctors should be treated as a VIP category, Jorge Luis Mariñelarena (2011) who talks about medical professional responsibility and Juan Armando Corbin (2018) who talks about psychology and mind. The subject was dealt with by authors' documents, which tell us about mental health in medical residents. In general, many think that it does not exist, that it is impossible because we have a mistaken concept when thinking that doctors can present any symptoms of weakness or that something like depression, stress, anxiety, obsessive disorders, would never happen to them. etc. Resident physicians are more vulnerable than other physicians as they hold themselves to a standard that they are not allowed to see as inferior. On many occasions they accept a higher workload so as not to show weakness to their superiors and when they present a symptom of fatigue or discomfort they simply do not take it into account, since they are doctors and before society they can never fail.
