Abstract
This book is a joint project of the members of the Fab Craft network, organized since November 2019 to support the handicraft industry in its struggle for revaluation in these times. It contains 3 sections: the first section presents the current situation of artisans and handicrafts in Peru from a statistical point of view. The second section contains the visions, experiences, and projects of many entrepreneurs who have preserved cultural heritage, revalued handicrafts, or empowered artisans in our times. Finally, the third section compares the sustainability principles of Fab City/Fab Rural with the testimonies collected in the second section to test if artisanal production systems are compatible with the economy of future cities.
