Abstract

The work was conceived in the heat of the feminist insurrection that places the body as the axis of transformations from the skin. The aim was to map the practices, tactics and figurations that politicise the body from feminist activism in Quito in the period 1980-2020. To do so, the author combines the Foucauldian genealogical approach, ethnography and narrative productions, in a dialogue with decolonial, postcolonial and transfeminist feminist epistemologies. From different scenarios, the work connects activisms from the 1980s to the present, hence its value: the dialogues and dissent between generations, between theories, between feminisms and between bodies. A work that looks back to give us hope of a "body" for the future of feminisms.
