Abstract

This work is part of the project EDUCATIONAL INCLUSION PROCESS FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES: CASE STUDIES IN THE CITIES OF QUITO, GUAYAQUIL AND CUENCA of the GEI Research Group. It comprehensively addresses the challenges and strategies for creating more inclusive educational environments. It consists of seven chapters that explore various dimensions of inclusion in the school environment, showing how an inclusive culture values diversity and promotes the participation of all students. It examines the legal and regulatory frameworks that support inclusion in educational institutions and presents the pedagogical approaches that facilitate effective inclusion in classrooms. It offers a look from the perspective of student counseling departments on the inclusion of students with disabilities. In addition, it addresses methodological strategies for teaching reading and writing to deaf people. It discusses reasonable supports and adjustments for the socialization of students with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Finally, the book tells the life story of a person with total blindness and Klinefelter Syndrome, highlighting the importance of comprehensive development. This book is a valuable guide for educators, administrators and professionals interested in promoting educational inclusion in all its aspects.
