Abstract

Introduction: The Universal Design for Learning (UDL) allows micro curricular planning and its application, taking into account the diversity in the classroom since it considers the interests, abilities and potential of each of the students, eliminating the obstacles that limit their integral development. The purpose of this study is to analyze the use of teaching strategies and resources used by teachers from the perspective of Universal Design for Learning. In the same way, the specific objectives seek to describe the didactic strategies used to attend to diversity in the classroom and to identify the resources that intervene in the teaching process. Method: The sample consisted of 28 teachers from the province of Pichincha from private and fiscal institutions, where the data was recorded through field diaries and surveys. Results: It was identified that 7.14% of teachers (n = 2) know what the UDL means and its characteristics, while 92.86% (n = 26) do not know the term; In addition, the teaching practices that promote student expression and motivation were described.
