Resumen

The present work shows the implementation of an online laboratory using an Internet of the Things (IoT) architecture for the teaching–learning of thermo-fluids systems design at the School of Industrial Engineers of the Technical University of Madrid (ETSII-UPM) and Information Technology Department at the University of Guayaquil. The thermo-fluids laboratory is made up of an industrial water heating system made up of closed-loop piping systems, pumps, heat exchangers, actuators, sensors, and a data acquisition system based on NI-MyRio embedded system. Project users can enter the practices oriented to the control and design of thermo-fluids through Moodle LMS. The management of the different objects that make up the laboratory is done through a Remote Learning Management System application (RLMS) developed for this purpose. Finally, this work is validated through the implementation of an online practice of PID control.
