Abstract
The need to implement systems with a high degree of automation in the oil and gas industry has grown dramatically in recent years, this because the extreme conditions that exist in each oil field make it difficult to perform daily tasks such as maintenance or inspection of equipment. As a solution to this problem, tele operation systems must be developed so that they provide high scalability using standardized messaging protocols. This research presents the development of a tele-operation system which uses the MQTT protocol for the integration of industrial process information and allows the operator to carry out inspection and remote maintenance tasks in Petroamazonas EP’s oil production centers. Ecuador. Additionally, a virtual environment developed in Unity 3D is implemented, this to obtain a high degree of transparency within the system and transmit the experience and skill of the operator to the slave robot.
