Abstract

Combustion is the most widespread chemical process for obtaining work throughof heat generation. The devices or equipment that are capable of producing work fromof a caloric intake they receive the generic name of machines or heat engines. The enginesalternative internal combustion engines, hereinafter also MCIA, are the main machinesthermal technologies used in the field of transportation, this is why it becomes vitalimportance of research and development of new concepts to improve efficiency inthis type of machines, since it represents one of the basic pillars of today's society. Below we will try to explain, in the sections that follow this one, the reasons thatcause the need to develop a new combustion concept for engine applications. alternative internal combustion engines, directed entirely towards the field of transportation, as well as the objectives set out in this final degree project.
