Abstract
This document discusses the need for the generation of mathematical models and simulation in engineering, particularly in automotive engineering, where both internal combustion vehicles and hybrid and electric vehicles offer a space of enormous potential for study. These tools are posed for the engineering student, a way of studying the automotive systems in such a way that it can generate better proposals for data analysis, prediction systems, control systems and improvement for the prototypes. In this document there is also included methodology and results of modeling, simulation of suspension systems, pressure control and simulation of transmission systems, using the Matlab & Simulink tools.
