Abstract
The journey of the University Pastoral Ministry at the Salesian University of Ecuador has been fruitful, however, the post-pandemic realities and the new educational strategies proposed lead us to understand the centrality of the young and youth leadership as two fundamental axes within the pastoral service and action training through humanistic subjects, these two essential elements within the pedagogical model of Salesian preventiveness challenge institutional responses that not only cover the pastoral department or the subjects of the Reason and Faith area, but the entire pastoral environment of the community university with respect to adapting to current youth needs.
