Abstract

It was the 1970s, Ecuador wanted to insert itself into the logics and dynamics of the extractive economy of raw materials, and in the promise of oil and its gifts for progress, with an impoverished society mired in social, political and economic inequality. This would allow the consolidation of the State, and a new economic model that would put into operation the privileges of the modernization of the Amazon and the techno-industrial development of the country. However, and for everyone's surprise, the exploratory processes of the oil industry They never produced positive results.
