This book refers to diversion works and includes the hydromechanical, goemechanical and material mechanics components, as well as the technical, economic and optimization procedures relating to the closing dykes and the diversion tunnel. In the case of hydraulic diversion tunnels, the theoretical elements for hydromechanical, geomechanical and mechanical analysis of materials are developed. one of the chapters provides an algorithm in the form of a general equation to optimize the design of a diversion system including a construction tunnel.
