Abstract

The advances of technology on cellular telephony frame an assiduous market of value-added services, capable of exceeding the penetration rates from the second decade of this century. Each year the technological waste is increased by the obsolescence that generates a demand for advertising marketing and consumer market that needs to be at the forefront, the denotation of new levels of social power to not feel the relegation by the same and electronic automation of countless processes, now practically necessary, has generated the policy of companies generating cellular hardware that meets the expectations of the most demanding customers such as: video, internet, voice of higher quality, coverage, multimedia among others. The first tests of countries such as Japan on a new technology that would be on the currently 3.5G would suggest that in the coming years will not only be delivered to the market a new human-mobile interface, but also will generate a demand for technological upgrading for companies that provide telephone service. In Ecuador, competition would be generated between Telefónica (Movistar), Porta and the state-owned Alegro, the latter two with their commercial names respectively.
