Abstract
Ethnographies. Processes, experiences and social resistance is the result of research based on ethnographic work and participant observation. Marginal areas of Colombia and Ecuador where daily life is complex due to historical, socio-cultural, political and economic conditions, are the focus of this study. Hidden - and common - realities in our Latin American contexts come to light in these pages. Its actors, researchers and ethnographers have managed to generate knowledge located "from the inside" and from the actor's point of view to understand their daily life, their ways of thinking, feeling, acting and believing. This is a book where observation, interviews, life stories, field diaries, daily conversation, drawing and painting have been methodological strategies that have allowed researchers to go inside the lives of social actors. The treatment of complex problems has not been an obstacle: ethics, sensitivity and methodological serenity have been fundamental conditions for the development of the different articles in this publication.
