The vitality of these processes opens up possibilities for Cultural Studies to find a space in the academy, because since the end of the nineties, Cultural Studies, thanks to the impulse of Catherine Walsh, have been integrated into the programmes of several universities. This article is an approximation to the debate that is taking place since the proposal of Cultural Studies, in dialogue with anthropology, since many anthropologists have studied these programs and many of them are currently teaching in universities. So it is important to analyze what their theoretical proposals are, but fundamentally their methodological contributions and particularly the ethnographic views they propose, in order to look at the usefulness they offer to the different faculties and schools.
