For the elaboration of the article, updated bibliography on the subject was reviewed, which undoubtedly served as support for the systematization and/or compilation of knowledge in this area of knowledge. To be consistent with the general objective that is distinguished by: to analyze the theoretical conceptions that sustain the construction of audiovisual communicative products. The following were stipulated as specific objectives: to study the theories and models of communication that have served as a starting point for theoretical studies in Latin America, to define and conceptualize the process of construction of the communicative product and, especially, in the audiovisual area. The research question is formulated from the following question: which have been the main theoretical referents for the construction of audiovisual communicative products in Latin America. In order to support, in greater depth, the development of the research, a second research question is posed, which is recognized as: what is the methodology to follow for the construction of audiovisual communicative products. Revised and approved the proposal, by the special unit of degree of the university, having compiled the necessary bibliography and with the conviction of the usefulness of the investigation began the work. In this way, the scope of the investigation, would obtain an approach to the theoretical conceptions that sustain the construction of audiovisual communicative products. It is hoped that the results of the research can serve as a theoretical reference for future articles related to the subject and as a knowledge base for students of Social Communication.
