Abstract
This paper addresses the topic "Analysis of the presence of infotainment elements in the newscast DespierTC Informado Guayaquil". This research text deals with the implementation of the infotainment genre as a way to attract the attention of audiences, alluding to the journalistic trend that mixes the informative genre and the entertainment genre. The object of study of this research is the newscast DespierTC Informado Guayaquil, a morning newscast that presents its content to the public from 5:45 to 7:00 am. The newscast attracts the attention of its audience due to the way in which the informative content is presented, evidenced in the handling of information by the presenters with a humorous tone and colloquial language.
