Abstract
Currently, the Electrical Engineering career at the Salesian Polytechnic University, Guayaquil campus Cen-tenario, faces resource limitations to teach the analysis of alternating current in Electrical Power Systems. The objective of this research is to propose and validate laboratory practices that allow the analysis of alternating current in SEP. Experimental and quantitative methodology is used. The power flow equations and the analytical methods of Gauss-Seidel and Newton-Raphson allow finding the theoretical values. This study builds a practice module that performs flow analysis using tools such as Matlab, Simulink, Arduino and ACS712. This module emulates and analyzes alternating current in an SEP. As a result of inductive and capaci-tive loads applied to the module, theoretical, simulated and measured current, inductance, phase voltage and phase current values are obtained.
