Resumen
This study presents a training methodology for applied research in the mentoring process of undergraduate students, which contributes to the development of research and scientific writing skills. Students undergoing the Computer Engineering program graduation process at an Ecuadorian university participated in this study. The students developed a scientific article based on a technical project. At the end of the mentoring phase, a survey was applied to determine their general perception of the process. Unlike the numerous studies on undergraduate research training that propose good practices and principles, this report shows a methodology that derived not only students' autonomy and research training, but also in impact publications.
