Resumen
This document addresses the short-term hydrothermal scheduling problem, which aims to establish optimal reservoir management schemes, as well as to define the power outputs of each generation unit, in order to achieve the total supply of the demand, guaranteeing, a correct economic management of the electrical system. This article introduces the use of the Dijkstra method, as solution method to the short-term hydrothermal programming problem. Its adaptation involves the application of the discretization resource, intended for the creation of a weighted graph with which the set of possible decisions is represented as well as the costs associated to each of them. The algorithms developed allow to establish optimal short-term scheduling of the hydrothermal resource in systems that include cascading hydroelectric power plants. The results obtained reflect values correctly limited within the specified technical and operational constraints, ensuring the correct supply of demand for the entire horizon of optimization considered.
