Resumen
This paper proposes a new self-adaptive technique in the control parameters of the Differential Evolution (DE) Algorithm called SACPDE. The main focus of this technique is the modification of the DE algorithm through the implementation of a dispersion operator (present in the Bacterial Foraging Optimization algorithm), and a correlation-supported cost function, the same that compares the response of each search agent with a pattern response defined previously. SACPDE has been implemented for optimization in the design of patch antennas and Notch-filters. In the first case, circular and rectangular patch antennas are designed with the objective of minimizing the reflection coefficient in the resonant frequencies of 2.1, 2.4, 5, and 5.8 GHz. In the second case, a Notch-filter was designed in an Ultra Wide Band (UWB) Vivaldi antenna to reject the bands for applications in the IEEE 802.11a-b standards and radio bands dedicated to Industrial, Scientific, and Medical purposes (ISM) located between 5.15 to 5.35 and 5.725 to 5.825 GHz.
