Rostros y Voces de la Solidaridad Universitaria. La Respuesta Humanitaria de la UPS durante el Paro Nacional del 2022 (Coordinación)

This photojournalism book is a visual and human testimony to a moment of crisis in Ecuador's recent history and the Universidad Politecnica Salesiana's response of solidarity in welcoming an average of 4,500 people from indigenous communities in the Sierra and Oriente regions of the country to its “El Girón” campus. This work captures in images and stories the most human dimension of that experience: active solidarity, commitment to life, and the defense of dignity. It also seeks to preserve institutional memory and serve as a tool to inspire new forms of solidarity in crisis contexts, in accordance with our mission, vision, and institutional values.
