Resumen

This research aims to demonstrate the change of thermal properties, temperature and thermal conductivity, which presents a base fluid (water) by adding a certain percentage of nanoparticles (CuO) and how they increase modify these properties in the processes that involve the heat transfer. For this reason, a study of the properties of the water-based CuO nanofluid at a concentration of 0.3% was carried out and a comparative analysis on heat transfer with water fluid without nanoparticles was developed with a CDF simulation software. According to the results obtained, the temperature difference in the base fluid and the nanofluid is 27.5 and 68.7 ° C respectively, which shows a significant improvement in energy transfer, the peak heat flow in the wall of the exchanger using the nanofluid is approximately ten times greater than the base fluid with values ​of 5394020 and 549765 (W m-2) respectively. There is also a considerable improvement in terms of thermal conductivity because its peak value in the nanofluid is 1825,825 times greater than the peak value of the base fluid.
